Custom contour conforming cribbed panel matches the edge of the crumpled bill and was hand made by the artist. This work was commissioned for the first Chief Innovation Officer of the FDIC.
The original $2 bill that the painting is modeled off was minted in Chicago, the owners home state, and also in 1976 the same year he was born. There is a NFC chip embedded into the painting that links to a finance related yet money themed reference that acts like an Easter egg in the painting.
